Law enforcement officials in Bucks County, Pennsylvania are working to restore their computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system after a cyberattack on Sunday took it down. The CAD system has been out of service since Sunday afternoon and there is no projected timeframe for when it might be up and running again. The county’s 9-1-1 services, however, are fully operational. Without the CAD system, the county has lost automated services and law enforcement officials cannot access databases for the Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network or the National Crime Information Center. The county is working with state and federal partner agencies to investigate the cybersecurity incident, and its IT department is working to restore the system as soon as possible.
