Although some systems have been brought online and public-facing offices have resumed service, access to the Georgia voter registration system remains restricted. County officials are concerned that the restriction may interfere with the Fulton County Board of Registrations and Elections’ ability to handle the statewide presidential primary election, scheduled for March 12. Although there is no evidence that the cyberattack is related to the election process, restrictions on the voter registration system remain in place as a precautionary measure.
