SHI expands cybersecurity offerings with Moot takeover

SHI International, a technology company based in Somerset, New Jersey, has announced the acquisition of Moot, Inc., an automated security solutions provider. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. This acquisition is aimed at enhancing SHI’s cybersecurity portfolio by introducing Moot’s automation technology, which will help reduce security costs by eliminating human error in various security workflows.

Founded in 1989, SHI International has expertise in software, hardware, security, data center, IT services, and other areas. The integration of Moot’s platform into SHI’s offerings will strengthen Stratascale, SHI’s cybersecurity division. This acquisition follows SHI’s previous acquisition of Vector0 in September 2023, with Moot’s capabilities complementing Vector0’s focus on attack surface control and vulnerability management.

Thai Lee, president and CEO of SHI, stated that the addition of Moot’s orchestration platform will help clients enhance their technology investments and plan for future growth without compromising security. The move is part of SHI’s strategy to constantly evaluate new cybersecurity technologies to help customers stay secure while maintaining productivity.
