Cybersecurity software provider Tanium Inc. has launched Tanium Automate, a new endpoint management solution that offers automated insights and remediation. This new service, claimed to be the first of its kind, provides real-time endpoint visibility and data, allowing organizations to turn data into real-time actions for risk mitigation. Automate aims to assist IT and security teams in gaining efficiencies and faster risk mitigation through automation based on real-time data and peer success metrics.

With Automate, customers can orchestrate actions across multiple areas of the platform and automate repetitive tasks such as patching and vulnerability remediation. This intelligent automation is crucial for organizations facing a proliferation of endpoints and stretched IT and security teams, according to Chief Technology Officer Matt Quinn. The new service taps into capabilities within Tanium’s extended endpoint management platform Tanium Guardian to assist in protecting vast arrays of endpoints.

Currently in private preview with dozens of customers, Tanium Automate is set to be available for general use in the coming weeks. Tanium Inc. has raised $1.06 billion in funding, including a round of $150 million in 2021, with investors such as Salesforce Ventures LLC, Fidelity Investments, and others. The service offers autonomous endpoint management enabled by real-time data and is designed to help organizations improve cybersecurity readiness through automated insights and actions.
