  • Illumio and Netskope have partnered to bring Zero Trust Segmentation and Zero Trust Network Access together to enhance cyber resilience.
  • The partnership aims to provide consistent, real-time visibility and protection against cyber threats by combining the strengths of both solutions.

In a strategic move to strengthen cyber resilience, Illumio, a Zero Trust Segmentation company, and Netskope, a leader in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), have announced a partnership to create a Zero Trust Alliance. This partnership combines the power of Zero Trust Segmentation (ZTS) with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) to protect against breaches and build cyber resilience.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) advocates for three primary Zero Trust enforcement points: identity, network access, and workload segmentation. Illumio ZTS and Netskope ZTNA Next work together to ensure consistent Zero Trust security at an organization’s perimeter and within its network, reducing the risk of cyberattacks.

Key benefits of the partnership include enhanced visibility of user-to-application and application-to-application traffic, protection for users from non-compliant workloads, and the automatic updating of security policies based on workload attributes. With the rise of ransomware attacks and the increasing cost of breaches, organizations are turning towards Zero Trust solutions to bolster their security posture.

According to David Willis, Vice-President of Technology Alliances at Netskope, businesses are under pressure to apply Zero Trust principles to every interaction with online resources. The partnership between Illumio and Netskope will provide organizations with a unified view of their environment, allowing them to update policies accordingly.

Mario Espinoza, Chief Product Officer at Illumio, emphasizes the importance of Zero Trust technologies sharing context to prevent breaches from spreading. The integration of Illumio and Netskope makes it easier for organizations to implement Zero Trust across their hybrid environments and strengthen their resilience against cyber threats.

Overall, the collaboration between Illumio and Netskope represents a significant step towards enhancing cybersecurity by bringing together the capabilities of Zero Trust Segmentation and Zero Trust Network Access.
