Monday marked the beginning of Cybersecurity Summer Camp at Fayette County Public Schools, offering students a chance to delve into the world of cybersecurity and STEM. The camp, led by program manager Vee Pryor, aims to introduce participants to cybersecurity practices through the interactive game KC7. Although originally designed for post-secondary education, the camp modifies the game to engage elementary and middle school students. Jibby Saetang, a volunteer, highlights the transformative impact of KC7 on his career, as he transitioned from watch and jewelry repair to cybersecurity after mastering the game. Saetang hopes to inspire more children to consider careers in cybersecurity through the engaging and educational camp activities.
