The NCSC has also warned that AI could make cyber attacks more impactful. This has led to 46% of CISOs viewing AI as more of a threat than a help to their organisation’s cyber resilience.

Despite these concerns, there is a positive outlook from some CISOs, with 77% stating that AI has helped fill the cybersecurity skills gap and 85% reporting that their C-Suite has received AI training. The report emphasizes the need for proactive measures to strengthen cyber resilience structures and prepare for AI-driven cyber threats.

Overall, there is a clear shift towards AI in cybersecurity, with 83% of CISOs prioritizing the hiring of AI experts over the past year. However, it is essential for organizations to focus on threat protection, deterring attacks, and defending against cyber threats to safeguard sensitive data assets and mitigate risks.
