Microsoft-backed Rubrik is planning to expand its business in India through acquisitions, with a focus on cybersecurity, AI, and data security. The company’s chairman and CEO, Bipul Sinha, highlighted the increasing cyber threat landscape and the need for more cyber resilience in India. Rubrik has already launched a ransomware recovery warranty in India and is partnering with a cyber insurance provider. Sinha believes that by 2025, cybercrime will be worth $10 trillion, making it the third-largest economy in the world. Rubrik is in talks with several startups in India and is also reportedly planning to go public next year through an IPO.
Rubrik aims to expand its India biz with Microsoft’s backing.
