Ghana’s Cybersecurity Authority (CSA) has officially licensed and accredited 51 industry players in IT and Cybersecurity, including entities like Absa Bank, e-Crime Bureau, and Access Bank. This follows the implementation of a comprehensive regulatory framework for Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSPs), Cybersecurity Establishments (CEs), and Cybersecurity Professionals (CPs) in the country. The licensing of CSPs and the accreditation of CEs and CPs is to ensure regulatory compliance with the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) and to ensure services are offered in accordance with approved standards and procedures in line with domestic requirements and industry best practices. The licensed and accredited parties span a diverse range of cybersecurity stakeholders, including CSPs like Virtual Infosec Africa and CWG Ghana, CEs like prominent financial institutions, and individual CPs like Kester Quist-Aphetsi and Tornyelli Tetteh.
