Amit Shah launches Assam Rifles’ Cyber Security Operations Centre, fortifying network

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister of India, has inaugurated a Cyber Security Operations Centre at the Assam Rifles headquarters, marking a significant step towards strengthening the digital defenses of India’s central armed police forces. The Cyber Security Operations Centre will be responsible for securing the Assam Rifles Wide Area Network (ARWAN) through real-time monitoring, threat mitigation, and cyber violation prevention. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the centre will enable Assam Rifles to detect and respond promptly to cyber threats, ultimately improving national security.

In his remarks, Amit Shah highlighted the Modi government’s commitment to creating a cyber-secure society and emphasized the importance of preventing cybercrimes. The Director of Assam Rifles, PC Nair, underscored the need to safeguard networks from cyberattacks and praised the efforts of Assam Rifles in modernizing its operations. The newly inaugurated Cyber Security Operations Centre represents a significant advancement in India’s network defense capabilities and will play a vital role in countering the escalating cyber threats faced by the country.
