TThe CEO of Cyber1 Defense and Communication, David Gyedu, has warned about the risks of digital tracking in 2024. He explained that digital tracking is how tech companies collect and use information about individuals. This tracking allows companies to gather data about users’ preferences, online activity, and location. There are several types of digital tracking, including first-party tracking, where websites collect information directly from visitors, and third-party tracking, where information is collected through other sites. Gyedu emphasized the importance of protecting privacy online and recommended using tools like Disconnect and Ghostery to block tracking. He urged the public to be cautious about the information they share online, as everything we do is now known and recorded. Gyedu also mentioned the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in digital tracking, as AI is increasingly used for tracking purposes. Overall, he emphasized the need to be aware of and protect against digital tracking risks in order to maintain privacy online.
