The partnership involves Palo Alto Networks acquiring IBM’s QRadar SaaS assets to strengthen its Cortex XSIAM platform with advanced AI-powered threat protection capabilities. IBM will continue to support on-premises QRadar clients and collaborate with Palo Alto Networks for a smooth transition. Nikesh Arora, Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, emphasized the potential of AI in the security industry, highlighting the innovation and secure offerings that the partnership will bring. Arvind Krishna, Chairman and CEO of IBM, focused on the benefits of advanced threat protection and automation powered by Cortex XSIAM and watsonx, along with IBM Consulting services. IBM Consulting will serve as a preferred Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) for Palo Alto Networks customers, with plans to establish a joint Security Operations Center and Cyber Range for enhanced security capabilities and customer experiences.
