Ohio University’s Information Security Office is hosting the third annual Data Security Day conference on Oct. 9, 2024. The event aims to raise cybersecurity awareness among students, faculty, and staff. With a successful track record in previous years, this year’s conference will be a hybrid event, allowing participants to attend sessions either in person at Baker University Center 240/242 or virtually. The conference will feature various topics such as cybersecurity hygiene, the impact of AI on the threat landscape, and Cybersecurity Jeopardy.
All OHIO students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in the conference, which is free of charge and includes a light breakfast and lunch for in-person attendees. The event will coincide with Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a national initiative to promote online security education. To secure a spot at the conference, individuals must register online by Monday, Sept. 23, 2024.
