SMEs need to get ready for cyber threats

According to a report by JumpCloud, around 49% of SME IT teams feel unprepared to defend against cyber-threats due to limited resources and staffing. Additionally, 45% of SMEs have experienced cyber-attacks in the first half of 2024. Shadow IT is also a concern, with 84% of respondents worried about a lack of visibility and control over applications and devices. On a positive note, SMEs are increasingly planning for AI integration, with 35% expecting to implement AI initiatives within the next six months. However, concerns about AI’s impact on cybersecurity persist, with 61% of IT decision-makers agreeing that their organization is struggling to keep up with AI-related threats.
