Telefónica Tech continues to advance its cyber intelligence services, recently launching a comprehensive service that bolsters cybersecurity defences for large enterprises. Key features of the new service include guiding customers in real-time and offering various levels of cyber threat analysis to aid organisations’ security teams in detecting and defending against sophisticated cyber threats. The global cyber threat intelligence market is predicted to reach $26.15bn by 2028, presenting a significant growth opportunity.
- Telefónica Tech’s new service is part of the NextDefense managed services, promising cyber-resilience for businesses and offering a range of products depending on a company’s maturity and the profile of the professional recipient.
- The product covers three levels: Tactical Intelligence focuses on current threats, Operational Intelligence provides insight into cyber attackers’ methods, and Strategic Intelligence contributes to long-term cybersecurity decision-making.
- Telefónica Tech operates the cyber intelligence service from its Digital Operations Center (DOC), located in Spain and Colombia. Employees of various specialties contribute their expertise to the identification, analysis, and mitigation of threats and incidents.
Aside from generating threat intelligence in-house, Telefónica Tech also has access to an array of external intelligence sources, tools, and technologies for comprehensive assessments. Being part of the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA) and collaborating with the Spanish National SOC Network (RNS) further enhances its capabilities.
Alberto Sempere, Director of Services, Innovation and Partnerships at Telefónica Tech, emphasised the importance of understanding and profiling cyber attackers for organisations to anticipate and detect attacks that traditional defensive solutions cannot. The launch of this new cyber threat intelligence service signifies Telefónica Tech’s commitment to help businesses confidently counter threats, providing advanced and effective solutions to protect their critical data and assets.
