The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has issued a Tier 1 cybersecurity license to Virtual InfoSec Africa (VIA), marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to enhancing and safeguarding Ghana’s digital landscape. VIA received the license on July 10, 2024, in Accra, after meeting all rigorous requirements set by the CSA.
VIA, known for building Ghana’s first intelligence center against cyber threats for the Bank of Ghana, was among 51 cybersecurity providers, establishments, and professionals to receive licenses and accreditations from the industry regulator. The CEO of VIA, Emmanuel Asiedu-Sekyere, expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue innovating and providing top-notch cybersecurity solutions for businesses in Ghana.
The Director-General of the CSA, Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, emphasized the importance of compliance with the Cybersecurity Act, 2020, and warned unlicensed entities of severe penalties. He also urged licensed institutions and professionals to support industry growth through innovative solutions and services.
