The financial impact of the attack is expected to relate to the deferral of transactions in the last five days of December 2023, with minimal material effect on the company’s statutory profit before tax for the year. Eagers Automotive has launched an investigation into the incident and is closely reviewing whether any personal information has been impacted. The company has notified the Australian and New Zealand cyber security centers and pledged to keep stakeholders updated as the investigation progresses.
