In a recent audit report, Missouri Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick accused Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft of withholding cybersecurity reviews of the state’s election authorities, alleging that this action violates state law. Fitzpatrick contends that Ashcroft’s refusal to provide copies of these reviews hindered the audit’s ability to assess the implementation of the new cybersecurity protocols.
